Viva Las Vegas

Well it's been a week since I posted and I guess some of you may be thinking I fell off the face of the Earth. But not to worry, I'm still alive. I've been in Vegas the past week for a little vacation. I had a great time. I ate some good food, lounged around the pool, got a massage and tried to win a little money. I didn't win enough to quit my day job yet so back to the real world. Believe it or not I didn't even take one picture while I was there. This trip was definitely low key and lazy. Just how I like it. I have a few shoots coming up so stay tuned for some new pictures.

Deallaney

Most of you that know me personally know that my niece, Deallaney was born with a very rare disease called Progeria. Well a few months ago I entered her in a contest put on by an awesome photographer named Millie Holloman based out of Wilmington. The contest was for a free session from Millie. She wanted to document a day in the life of a child with a disability or battling a disease. Well today I found out Deallaney won the contest so she will be receiving a free photo shoot with an awesome photographer. I am very excited. If you are looking for a good charity to donate your hard earned dollars to The Progeria Research Foundation is at the top of my list. And yes that is the Wolf symbol she is doing. I've taught her to love the Wolfpack. Got to start 'em young!!

VBS Finale Night

So this past Friday night was the grand finale of VBS. It was a fun but exhausting week. I think the kids had a blast and I think all the adults were exhausted by the end of the week but it was all worth it. I enjoyed wandering around to all the different areas and taking pictures.

There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children.
One is roots; the other, wings.
Hooding Carter

Below is one of my favorite campers, my niece. This year she was able to walk in all by herself and I must say it brought tears to my eyes to see her walking with all the other little boys and girls. The best things come in small packages.

VBS Day 3

And they were bringing children to him that he might touch them, and the disciples rebuked them. But when Jesus saw it, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” And he took them in his arms and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
Mark 10:13-16

Sneak Peek

Today I had a session with a little flower girl and ring bearer. They were in their aunt's wedding this afternoon so after the wedding we headed out to their grandpa's farm for some shots of the two little cuties all dolled up. This first one is by far my favorite of the day. I processed it two different ways. I can't decide which one I like better.
The little ring bearer was asleep when he arrived for the session. He has had a long day and not to mention it was 100 degrees and he was sporting his little tux. I think this shot is so sweet.

Beach Specials

So I've had several people mention to me that they are interested in beach pictures this summer. I will be down at the beach for a week in August and I will be offering a special that week. The price will be $125 for an hour session and includes an 8 X 10 and 2 5 X 7's. Other prints sold seperately. I will do whatever kind of group you want. Couples, kids, families... whatever. I will be there on vacation so I am only taking a limited number of bookings that week. Shoot me an email or call me if you are interested in booking ASAP. This will be in the Emerald Isle/Morehead vicinity. The shoots will take place in the evenings, around 5 or 6. If you are interested in other dates in June or July let me know. All of my contact info can be found on my website under the contact button.

Summertime

So I spent most of Friday and Saturday down at the beach cooking myself. It felt so good. The weather was beautiful. Although I do now have some red spots where I missed with the sunscreen. Oww!! I managed to squeeze in a little session while I was there of a friend of mine's little girl. She was quite a natural in front of the camera. I think we have a future model on our hands.
