Yes that little girl that came into this world weighing a whopping two pounds and nine ounces is now five years old, attending kindergarten and playing t-ball. Boy has she come a long way. Nothing gets in Deallaney's way! And I won't even begin to describe how smart she is. Knows everything and remembers everything. :) These are pictures I took at her team's first scrimmage. To say I've been busy lately is quite an understatement. Things have really been picking up around here now that the weather is starting to warm up. I've got quite a few sessions to blog but first up I wanted to show off my new little project/product. I designed this guest book for one of my brides and I'm so happy how it turned out. It's so cute and such a fresh idea. It's the new and improved guest book. No more just having guest sign a book with just their names. This book will be a lifelong treasure designed from an engagement session and contains lots of questions for guest to answer about the couple. And the guests get to see all those cute pictures and give advice to the newlyweds. I love it! Let me know what you think. Some of the pictures below aren't the best quality but I was in a hurry to show off the book.

Yesterday I photographed possibly the cutest and easiest newborn ever!! The mom of this little guy planned it perfect. The best time to do newborn shoots is within that first week when the baby is tiny, sleepy and flexible. This little fella was almost a week old and was the perfect little model. Mom gave him a little bit of milk and he was pretty much out the whole shoot. I highly recommend newborn shoots. I mean they are only this tiny once, right? I mean seriously can he BE any cuter?

This weekend I ventured down to Carolina Beach, NC with some fellow photogs to hang out, gab, talk shop, and shoot. It was great to get out of town for a few days even if we did freeze our butts off shooting in the wind. The good news is I can now feel my fingers again. And no I do not have frostbite. Yeah! Saturday we had some people come in and model for us. They were all naturals and oh so cute. This first couple is can we say it all together, Gorgeous? It should be illegal to look that dang good. But don't worry they are just as beautiful on the inside. You just want to hug them.

Well today was quite busy. This morning I went over to the Greenville Convention Center to set up my booth for the bridal show. I met lots of awesome brides today! I guess love is in the air. Then I had to jet over from the show to do a family/kid session. I mean how cute are these two kids? Love the blue eyes on these two. And the weather was perfect today for shooting outside. Calling all seniors!! I'd love to shoot more seniors this year and it's getting about that time. So if you're interested shoot me an email and we'll set up a time. I do mostly all outside photography so don't expect the boring ol' black backdrop shot. And if you know of any seniors, you know I LOVE referrals. It's been too cold, wet and messy to shoot much outside lately and I'm itching to get the camera back out. I mean seriously, has this been the longest winter or what? I don't know how many more 30 degree days I can take.

So I'm still snowed in. Or shall I say iced in. My driveway is a sheet of ice. So far today I've rearranged furniture, vacuumed, and changed my air filters. Next on the agenda is gonna be baking some brownies. I'm in need of chocolate!! So I recently found that Joyner Library has put a lot of old pictures online. I love seeing old pictures and how things used to be. So here's one of my favorites. Black Jack, where my family has lived forever! And I'm guessing that's our church in the picture. Sure looks different. I wish I could go back in time and hang out for a week or so. Wouldn't that be so cool?

Snowed In

Well I was supposed to be at the bridal show in New Bern today but unfortunately I was unable to make it. I really didn't want to risk spending the day in the ditch so I decided not to brave the ride from Greenville to New Bern in this mess. And it really is a icy mess out there today. Hopefully they'll refund some of my money?!?! I'll keep my fingers crossed on that one. I was really looking forward to meeting brides in the New Bern area. Maybe next year. Until then I'll be at the house, with the gas logs on warming up my little tootsies. If any of you New Bern brides are reading this feel free to email or call for my package list. Stay warm and safe everyone!

January how do I love thee. Let me count the ways. You’re relaxing. But oh so cold! Just kidding. Sorry I haven’t posted as much lately but January is usually my slowest month. People are winding down after the holidays and it gives me time to catch up on all the not so fun stuff. Like TAXES. Oh how I hate that word. Maybe I should have logged those receipts throughout the year instead of throwing them in a box. Maybe I'll work on that this year. I’m hoping 2010 will be a big year for my business. Last year I did 6 weddings and this year I’m hoping for at least 10. And I love referrals. So if you know anyone…… :-). I shot a beautiful Christmas wedding this past weekend. I don't want to put any pictures of the bride and groom up yet since they are on their honeymoon. So for now I'll put a few up of the bridal party. This was a second marriage for both bride and groom so the wedding party consisted of their kids and a nephew. Talk about a good looking bridal party. I guess it doesn't hurt they are all teenagers. Oh, youth! The first three were taken in the classroom where the girls got ready. I loved the blue wall. Nice backdrop, huh?

Go Chargers!!

So this past Sunday I went to my first NFL game courtesy of my wonderful father. I am a huge Chargers fan but San Diego is a long flight so we opted for the Cowboy/Charger game b/c it was closer and of course we wanted to see that new awesome Cowboy stadium. And it WAS awesome. The tv in there is 60 yards wide. It was huge and the HD was crystal clear. During the game you catch yourself looking at the tv almost as much as you look at the field. You just can't help it. So here's a few pictures. These were all taken with my little point and shoot camera and have not been edited in any way so please don't judge my photography off of these pictures. :) And also they are in random order.

Rivers used to be the quarterback at my Alma mater, NC State University. Man does our football team miss him. The Cowboys taking the field. Notice the ginormous tv screen. 60 yards wide!
On the Saturday night before the game we went to the Fort Worth Stock Yards. They run (or some might say slowly stroll) cattle through the street twice a day. Man were they huge! The stock yards has lots of cowboy shops, restaurants, bars and all that jazz. And if you're looking to drop $2,000 on a pair of boots head over to Leddy's. Needless to say I did not make any purchases there. The General Store was more my speed.

I've spent the past few days in Chicago and can I just say the weather was much better in Chicago than NC if you can believe that. It's rained non-stop since I've gotten home. The reason I was in Chicago was to attend a photography workshop with the awesome Audrey Woulard. I've always loved her style and wanted to learn some of her tricks of the trade. She brought in some little models for us to shoot the first day and I thought I would share a few pictures of these cutie pies. They were so stinking adorable! Parents take note of these kids style. No need for the frilly dresses. Think jeans, hats, scarves and most of all bright colors!

This past weekend I shot a wedding on Bald Head Island in NC. It was awesome!! if you've never been to Bald Head I highly recommend it. It's gorgeous and oh so laid back. This engagement shoot was so much fun! I headed down to good ol' Hyde County for this one. I loved it down there, the endless farm land and the beautiful creek. Family Mini Sessions

This fall I will be offering family mini shoots. The first will be October 2nd. If you are interested send me an email. wulfpackgirl@aol.com It will be first come first serve. I will be offering one more family mini shoot in November. These make great Christmas presents for grandparents or for mom. If you husbands don't know what to get your wives for Christmas try a canvas wrap picture of the whole family for your living room. They'll love it!! My normal sitting fee is $100 and includes about an hour long session and about 30-40 images edited and put online for ordering. These shoots will be $50, last 30 minutes and will include about 10 images that will be edited and put online for viewing/ordering. I also design and sell Christmas cards. Remember Christmas is in less than four months!

Look who's five years old today. Or as Deallaney says, a whole hand full. She has come a long way in her little five years and has touched numerous hearts. Beach Fever

Well it's that time of year again. Finally!! I am so over the winter. Sorry I've been a little MIA on the blog but I went to South Beach Miami last week for some much needed R & R. And now I am really in the mood for the beach. So once again this summer I'll be down at the beach as much as humanly possibly. Beach sessions will be $250 and will include 3 5 x 7's and 12 wallets. Images will placed online in a password protected gallery. I will be doing a few sessions for $200 in July. Email me for the dates. Sessions are done at Fort Macon, Atlantic Beach unless otherwise requested. Below are some images from last years beach sessions. How gorgeous is this family? We did these on the campus of ECU and some downtown. This first is my favorite. What a cool canvas that would make.
