A Few More

A few more shots from last Thursday. I love this first one!!

Charleston

So my Mom and I went to Charleston, SC this past weekend for a little R &R. Charleston is probably by far one of my favorite places in the world. If you have never been I highly recommend it. Gorgeous old homes and lots of good cooking. I ate lots of crab dip, fried green tomatoes and shrimp.
This is Drayton Hall. This is the original house built in 1738. It has survived the American Revolution where the British used it as a command post. It withstood the Civil War b/c the good doctor had the idea to post smallpox signs all around the property and the Yankees did not want to take their chances and so it did not get burned like the other plantations in the area. It has also withstood an earthquake and many hurricanes. It is a sight to see.
I loved this old house. Another original plantation house dating back to before the Revolutionary War. Thomas Lynch Jr., a signer of the Declaration of Independence was born here.
We even ran into some pirates. But no ghost this time around.

Website

Well I finally have my computer back. Thank God!!! Hopefully it won't crash again. I'm hard at work now working on my brand spanking new website. Hopefully I will be able to launch it in the next week or two. So be on the lookout. Here's another picture of my sweet little niece on her first birthday. Is she cute or what??

Keeping My Fingers Crossed

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will get my computer back today. My computer has broken so much lately that I now know that Best Buy receives their UPS shipments on Mondays and Thursdays. So hopefully my computer is in their shipment of today. I can't wait to get it back to start building my brand new website. Be on the lookout for that. I'm sure it will take me a couple of weeks to get that done.

So I came across a cool video done at a wedding reception. If I ever get married I expect something like this. Yeah right. This is like out of a Disney movie but it's very cool. I love the bride's face when all of her friends start jumping out of the crowd to join in. Even the groom is involved.

Also if you are looking for another blog to read I'll share on my favorites. I read lots of photographer blogs. There are great places to get inspiration and learn, learn, learn. But one of my favorites to read lately is Kara May. She is based out of South Carolina and I love her style. And she also has lots of cool links to kids clothing. If you are looking for something cool and different for your child to wear you can find many links to some cool sites on her blog.

Circus Time!!

The circus was in town last week. My mom and I took my niece and nephew and two of their friends. For some reason it didn't seem as grand to me as it did when I was a kid. But the kids enjoyed it and that's all that matters. They got a kick out of somebody being shot out of a cannon. And they thought the elephants were kind of cool although they were all to chicken to ride. Though I can't blame them. All in all it was a good time.

On a side not my computer is broken AGAIN. I got it back last Thursday and it broke on Friday. I am so fed up with that computer. But I should have it back hopefully sometime this week so be on the look out for some new posts when I get it back.
